Dive 004: Santa Claus is...hopefully coming to town? [Video/Action]

[So Christmas is in the air and Sora is in his apartment getting ready for the big day. He's been going in and out of town getting stuff for ready for the holiday season. However, Sora is beginning to realize that if they're all in Luceti...how is Santa going to visit anyone? It's true Sora thought Santa wasn't real at one point because of Riku but having actually met the man, he knows the man's real.

So he comes on the feed looking a bit unsure.]

Hey, do you think Santa will come to Luceti? I mean he travels other worlds during Christmas but no one can get in or out of the barrier...so does that mean Santa won't come here?

[Can you see this is a bit disappointing? He was really wanting to get a visit from Santa this year. After all, HE'S GOTTA BE ON THE NICE LIST THIS YEAR! COME ON! He believes in the man again.

Once he's done with that, he's going around town collecting more Christmas things. But the one thing he needs is a tree. So if there's a person nearby he'll wave over to them.]

Hey, do you know where I can get a Christmas tree?

I'm not sure....but it shouldn't be Jack Skellington.

[As much as Jack was his friend he didn't exactly condone a halloween Christmas...well not anymore.]

Jack Skellington. He's the guy who runs Halloween.

I didn't know anyone ran Halloween. I always thought it was just kind of a holiday with no one in charge.

Nope! It's always been Jack Skellington's holiday. But I didn't even think anyone was in charge of it either before I met him.

So then... what does he do? I mean, Halloween doesn't have gifts like Christmas or Easter, so what is there to be in charge of? Unless... wait, is he the one who controls all of the ghosts and spirits and stuff?

Kind of. He tries to make Halloween really scary and he likes to scare people and stuff.

That makes sense. Halloween is supposed to be a holiday about creepy things, after all.

Uh huh. He's had some creative ideas in the past.

[Though not all exactly good ones.]

Well there was one year where he wanted a Heartless halloween. He wanted to try and control the heartless so they would dance for him. It was a cool idea.

[And Sora really did want to see the heartless dance. But nothing went well after that. ]

What's a Heartless? Is that some kind of animal? The name is a little creepy... it almost makes me think of zombies or something.

They're creatures of darkness born from the darkness in people's hearts. When they're around they look for more hearts to eat so they can make more of themselves.

... on second thought, I think that's a little TOO creepy for my tastes.

It's kind of scary, but that's why I went around destroying the heartless. So the captured hearts would be free again and those people would become whole.

[Well eventually.]

Is that what happens when the hearts go back to people? They don't die without their hearts or anything?

[Voice]

Nope. I mean, people die. Everyone does I guess. But when the heartless are involved not really.

[Voice]

That's a relief, I guess. It sounded a lot worse than it really is before I knew that part. I just assumed that people would die without their hearts.

[Voice]

What happens to them though is still pretty sad. But, I just gotta keep on doing what I'm doing and help free them.

Yeah. That's all anyone can do, right?

[Voice]

Yeah. But one day they'll be okay again so it's all worth it.

[Voice]

Thanks. I just hope that none of these Heartless ever show up in Luceti so you don't have to worry about dealing with them.

They haven't yet, but if they do ever show up I'll be sure to keep everyone safe!
